Adult bird, in the colony. Dark type (but estimated slightly paler than heuglini) and powerful appearance.

Phenotypics:
P10 medium mirror, separated from the white tip by broad full subterminal black band. Short pale tongue on underside of P10.
P9 no mirror. Black does not reach primary coverts.
P5 full broad subterminal band.
P4 broken subterminal band.
Moult: P1-P2 recently replaced looking colder grey (P2 just falling short, growing?, otherwise arrested moult), P3-P10 old. Upperparts close to (but just slightly paler than) heuglini. Yellow iris with speckling, pretty heavy bill, red seems to bleed up onto upper mandible.
