Ringed in Finland, white C3NN. Arrested moult at P8, with the inner primaries third generation and the outer two primaries still old second generation. Most tail-feathers are all-white but R5 has much black. Note the brown hue on the lesser coverts and inner greater coverts, which contrast strongly with some recently replaced median coverts. The same contrast can be found between the lowest row of the scapulars and the upper scapulars. Note the adult colour of the soft parts. The upper tertial is growing.
