Ringed as pullus at Pälkäne, Finland on July 03 1999, now in 5cy. Compared to western taxa, adult fuscus with small size, slender bill, dark upper-parts which turn brown hued when older and worn, lack of moult in the scapulars, wing-coverts and the primaries and small white tips on the outer primaries, which wear away quickly. July 2003, all 10 primaries are still present.
