Ringed as pullus at Palkan, Finland on July 02 1999, now in 5cy. Adult fuscus with small size, slender bill, dark upper-parts which turn brown hued when older and worn, lack of moult in the scapulars, wing-coverts and the primaries and small white tips on the outer primaries, which wear away quickly. Note the mahogany hue on the central greater coverts and lower tertials, and compare with the fresh cold blackish grey inner median coverts. Note also the fresh tip of P4, contrasting with P5.
