Ringed as breeding adult (4+cy) on the nest, on June 04 2007 near the Gorlaeus Laboratory, Leiden, The Netherlands. Often present at Leiden - Darwinweg. Metal: Arnhem 5419902.

Adult Herring Gull, moulting to basic plumage. After having been seen for the last time in April, this individual appeared once more at the beginning of August. Apparently it had been breeding since it was seen together with one juvenile, begging for food.
Primary moult: P1 - P3 are new and fully grown, P4 is almost fully grown, P5 and P6 have been shed.
Primary moult score: 21 (P1=5, P2=5, P3=5, P4=4, P5=1, P6=1, P7=0, P8=0, P9=0, P10=0).

Adult Herring Gull, ringed in 2007 as part of a research project investigating gulls breeding on the rooftops of the city of Leiden. Up until the discovery of this gull at the same location on March 5, no sightings had been reported since the day it was ringed. Ringed near the Gorlaeus Laboratory, Leiden, The Netherlands, June 4, 2007. Age: adult.
