Ringed as breeding adult (4+cy) on the nest on May 17 2010 at IJmuiden, The Netherlands.
Adult European Herring Gull, moulting to winter plumage (prebasic moult). The head, neck and chest show extensive dark markings which are typical for this "winter" plumage. Note also the small dark marking on the gonys spot. P6/P10.
