Caspian Gull (Larus cachinnans) 260P 2cy, October 23-30 2008, Westkapelle, the Netherlands. Pictures: Ies & Pim.

Green 260P and metal PLG DN21544. Ringed as pullus on May 18 2007 in a "Caspian Gull colony" at ŻWIROWNIA ZAKOLE A, JANKOWICE, BABICE, POLAND (50°2'0''N 19°28'0.0''E ).

For the period these ringing data were unknown, this bird was expected to be a hybrid. The head is okay for cachinnans, albeit somewhat square, but especially the bold pattern on wing-coverts indicated some michahellis or argentatus influence. After all, it seems to be that pure cachinnans is the best option for this bird.
