Kelp Gull (Larus dominicanus dominicanus) 3rd cycle, November 14 2010, Cananeia, Brasil. Picture: Dario Sanches.

See: Dario's Flickr photo's!

Bird in 3rd alternate plumage: head and underparts appear white without spotting and bare part colour has developed richer and more saturated. Note 3rd gen inner primaries and secondaries, the secondaries with obvious bold white tips of 3rd gen (and older generation feathers, white tips narrow in 2nd gen secondaries). Mirror on P10. Adult-like primaries combined with much black in the tail.

Complete moult maybe just started, P1 seems to be missing?
