Kelp Gull (Larus dominicanus vetula) K012 adult, with data-logger, October 2013, Keurbooms colony, South Africa. Picture: Minke Witteveen.

Please visit Minke's weblog to follow all the news regarding her MSc ringing project on Kelp Gulls in this colony, at Keurbooms River and Robberg Peninsular, Plettenberg Bay.

Adult bird with data logger attached. Birds have to be trapped again to read the data, which in turn tells incredible stories about the whereabouts during the season.

Bird processed, a little washing and bathing and back to incubate the eggs.
