LBBG 2cy JT74 August 21 2002, Cambridge U.K.. Picture Dick Newell.

Ringed in Vest-Agder, Norway (58.03N 06.40E) on July 03 2001. A bird that can be mistaken for 3cy. Primary moult is well in line with 2cy LBBG graellsii: P1-P6 fully grown and P10 (probably P9 as well?) are still old juvenile. The central tail-feather R1 and maybe other tail-feathers as well are missing. A rather brown-grey bird with most wing-coverts and tertials replaced. Active moult in the central greater coverts, where the gap closes at about greater covert #7.
