Photo 6: 2cy LBBG, July 7 2001, IJmuiden, the Netherlands.

A LBBG very much resembling Yellow-legged Gull (L.michahellis) for the bulky appearance. Wing coverts were moulted in one wave, all more or less of the same age, except the inner two greater coverts and the inner three medians. P9 and p10 are still juvenile, p8 is missing and p7 growing. This results in a high moult score of 34. Barring on the greater coverts is often not as dense as in this individual.
