A bird with a white Dutch ring from Maasvlakte, the Netherlands: SL2. This bird was ringed on June 20 1998.

The upper-parts show many second generation feathers. In the mantle and in the upper and lower scapulars, new feathers with anchor pattern can be recognized easily.

Adult Lesser Black-backed Gull in summer (alternate) plumage. The ring could only be positively read from one side.
