Lesser Black-backed Gull (graellsii & intermedius)

This 2cy LBBG was ringed in Belgium Bruxelles L-102569. It still shows some brown scapulars with an obvious anchor pattern, mixed with fresh grey scapulars. The inner greater coverts, the inner median covert and several central lower lesser coverts are in active moult, indicating the partial autumn moult has started. Typically, in this autumn moult, the coverts which were replaced first last spring, are now moulted once again. P9 is fully grown.
