T7PF = GA 32387. Ringed as 30+ day juvenile at the Tarnbrook Fell, UK (54.01N - 02.35W) on June 30 2000.
This LBBG has arrested primary moult in spring. P1-P3 are old, adult-like, P4-P6 are fresh adult-like, with P4 showing a dark-grey, not black sub-terminal band. The sub-terminal band on P5 is blackish, but only on the right wing. The outer primaries P7-P10 are old brown third generation-like, P10 on both wings showing a faint mirror which reaches the outer and inner edges of the feather.
T7PF was injured at one leg, limping at the beach. The legs are yellow, the bill has a broad black band, obscuring most f the red gonydeal spot and the base of the bill is clear yellow. The iris is pale blue-yellow.
The tail is completely white. All secondaries are fresh adult-like. Winter streaking is still visible in the lower neck and the head is in active moult at the lores and the crown. The upper-parts are pale grey as in British graellsii, with all scapulars pale grey, showing various states of wear. All tertials are new, adult-like. The wing-coverts are fairly fresh, except median covert #5 and the outer 5-7 lesser coverts (most in the carpal edge) which are still strongly washed brown.
From beneath, P10 is brown-black with a small mirror. |
The tail is white, bare parts are adult-like and the pale grey tone of the upper-parts is in line with British graellsii. |
