Yellow-legged Gull michahellis 1CY, September 22 2002, Le Portel, NW France.

1CY Yellow-legged Gull with an atypical jizz: short-legged, round-headed and thin-billed. The third tertail has been replaced in the left wing, but is still present (although loosely) in the right wing. All the wing-coverts are still juvenile. The majority of the scapulars are replaced for second generation feathers and only the rear lowest scapulars are still juvenile.
