Yellow-legged Gull michahellis 2CY, April 19 2002, Etaples, NW France (50.42N,1.34E).

A slightly delayed individual, with all the wing-coverts but two still juvenile. Two lower upper scapulars have been replaced for third generation scapulars; they are not plain grey but still show a faint brown shaft and faded brownish edges. Note the very fresh second generation rear lower scapulars.
