Yellow-legged Gull michahellis 3CY, July 30 2001, Le Portel, France (50.42N,1.34E).

A 3CY michahellis with P7-P10 old, moulting the upper tertials, inner greater and median coverts. A slightly delayed individual, the fresh upper tertial is just visible. The tips of the fresh inner median coverts reach beyond the lower lesser coverts and the tips of the fresh outer medians are just visible behind the flank feathers.
Note the pale yellow base of the bill and the dark iris.
