Yellow-legged
Gull michahellis HES M.025982 1cy, August 27 2012, Katwijk, the Netherlands.
Ringed michahellis from Switzerland: Fanel (46.58.58N, 007.02.11E), Switzerland, ringed on 09 May 2012. This bird was recorded from 20 July - 03 August at Groningen (see map) and now at Katwijk. This is a typical late summer dispersal pattern, where Mediterranean birds head north in late summer and gradually decend south again along the Atlantic coast. We see largest numbers in September, and by January virtually all michahellis have left the country again.
