Mew Gull canus sub-adult, November 26 - December 02 2016, Grou, the Netherlands.

Overall adult-like bird with white tipped P9, with fine blackish streaks on greater primary coverts, much black on outer primaries, and bluish hue on the base of the bill. Also well developed dense shawl in neck continuing on breast. All these features may apply to full adult birds, nonetheless labeled "sub-adult" or younger adult, sometimes called 3rd cycle-type.
