Mew Gull canus SVS 7160338 1cy, 26 December 1998, Malmö, Sweden.

Figure 08: 7160338 (357/92,9) one-year old bird (1CY), probable canus, with mirror on P10. 26 December 1998. Note pale greater coverts, pale greyish inner primaries and grey scapular saddle.

One year old Mew Gulls normally have no signs of mirrors in P8-10, but some birds shows faint white in P10. After careful checking 374 one year old birds, it appeared this white P10 patch was found in only 13 birds (3,5%).
