Larus fuscus intermedius 1cy (juvenile), August 12 2002, Götenborg, Sweden.

A juvenile intermedius by early August, present in the harbour of Götenborg. In SW Sweden, the adult birds which were present (only very low numbers) are obviously paler than adult fuscus. In juveniles, it's hard to tell the races apart. Note that the inner medians and lower lesser coverts are slightly out of place but present.
