Larus fuscus fuscus 3cy, August 07 2002, Tampere, Finland (61.33N 24.59E).

A 3cy bird with arrested moult at P6, the outer primaries P7-P10 are still old with a very small mirror on P10, probably second generation. All tail-feathers are all-white. Note the large amount of strongly brown hued wing-coverts.

The soft parts are almost adult-like with the bill pale yellow, the iris peppered black, the orbital ring red and the legs pale yellow.
