A pale bird comparable to the previous one. Many of the visible wing coverts, tertials and rectrices have been renewed; only the outer coverts, lowest tertials and central tail feathers still are juvenile. The flight feathers still are in an immaculate condition. This combination of plumage features could be unique for Heuglin's Gull.
