Ringed as breeding adult male (4+cy) on the nest, on May 23 2007, Kelderhuispolder, Texel, The Netherlands.
Adult European Herring Gull, moulting to winter plumage (prebasic moult): P1 to P6 are new and fully grown, P7 is mostly grown, P8 is just growing. Note the black mark on the outer web of P4 (which is unusual but within the range of variation) and the full black band on P5.
