Gulls in NW Europe

Herring Gull adult, August 20 2012, Katwijk, the Netherlands.
Showing upperwing pattern and tail. P4/P8, but P5 almost equals P4. All secondaries and rectrices old. Missing greater coverts, exposing white base of secondary shafts. Faint brown wash on greater primary coverts may indicate 5cy.
