Ringed as pullus on July 14 2023 at Forteiland, IJmuiden. Ringed by Fred Cottaar ringing team.
Logger bird: received GPS 7123/SAFW.
Below first map: coincidence? Two juvenile logger birds of 2023 cohort both decided to travel further south, in western France. Yellow dots is SACZ, which arrived just south of island Belle-Île-en-Mer on October 9th, 2023. Blue dots is SAFW, which also arrived at its most southern location, also on October 9th. Both logger birds decided not to travel further.

On the first day, after receiving the GPS logger, birds may walk backwards for short distances, uneasy with the new equipement.
