An adult, died on May 27 2003, hit by a car. An individual from the Missouriweg colony at the Maasvlakte, the Netherlands. Outer primary pattern as can be found in many LBBGs:

• mirror on P10 and a very small one on P9 in the left wing.
• no real tongues: division between inner grey patch and black outer-part on the outer web gradually, as if black area dissolves in grey along the edge of the outer web.
• black markings on outer-webs of P3 and P4, real sub-terminal band only starting at P5.

Note the greater and median primary coverts, with a black centre along the shaft at the inner-web.
All ten primaries still present. The secondaries are moulted after replacement of the first few inner primaries, these grey secondaries are much fresher than the inner primaries. By early-June, about 90% of the adults completely retained old remiges and rectrices.

In the field, the grey tone was judged Kodak 10.0 on a 20 steps AGFA scale.
