Photo 7: LBBG sub-adult,  November 19 2000, Westkapelle, the Netherlands.

The outer primaries have white tips on p5-p7 while p8 and p9 lack such white tips. P10 is almost fully grown and from beneath, in the far wing, the relatively small mirror is visible. Except from the primaries and the lower tertial which has a rather brown centre, this sub-adult individual resembles an adult LBBG in many respects. The outer lower lesser coverts are actively moulted and a few plain dark brown feathers are still visible.
