LBBG 7+cy Dutch intergrade BVAM, September 02 2003, Westkapelle, the Netherlands (51°33'0''N, 3°25'0''E)
Adult LBBG with P8-P10 still old. Moult in the central secondaries has started as well. This bird was ringed as adult female at Zeebrugge, Belgium (51.21N 03.11E) on May 29 2000. Together with the primary moult, moult in the wing-coverts has started as well and the differences between the old brown and new grey feathers are obvious in the image. The scapulars are a mix of old brown and new dark grey feathers. Note the deep yellow legs and bill. In this individual, the mirror on P10 is merged with the tip. P5 is already fully grown, and the picture shows a small spot on the outer-web of P4 and a complete sub-terminal band on P5.
