(3 images) 15cy LBBG intermedius NOS 4147932 September 07 2004, Westkapelle, the Netherlands (51°33'0''N, 3°25'0''E). Picture Pim Wolf.
Ringed as pullus on 30 June 1990 at Vest-Agder, Norway (58° 2' 59 , 6° 40' 11).
Adult LBBG intermedius with P5-P10 still old, and P3 fully grown and P4 growing and at the length of P2. All rectrices are still old. The strong and fierce jizz may indicate a male. Together with the primary moult, moult in the wing-coverts has started as well and the differences between the old brown and new grey feathers are obvious between the median and the lesser coverts. However, there are now apparent moult gaps (and primary moult continues at low pace, i.e. small gap). The scapulars are a mix of old brown and new dark grey feathers as well. On the bill, the red gonydeal spot extends on the upper mandible, and there are black markings on the upper mandible.
