Photo 7: LBBG adult, September 2 2001, ECT parking Maasvlakte, the Netherlands.
This adult LBBG is still feeding a juvenile by early September. Normally the fledglings are taken out of the colony as soon as possible. They congregate at the beach, parking lots, etc.
Here, at least the visible primaries p5 to p10 are old. A small inventory in the colony did not show substantial and significant delay in adults which still feed begging juveniles. In the colony, adults with old primaries p4-p10 up to p8-p10 were found. This score can be found in any group of adults by early September.
