Randomly a few coverts were included in the partial moult. In the greater coverts: #2 and #4, in the median coverts #1-3 and # 7 and a few lesser coverts. These feathers must have been moulted before this bird was heading north, since the feathers look very neat and tidy. The second generation secondaries are just visible beneath the greater covert row.
