Frequently, some scapulars are left unmoulted and are recognizable on basis of the brown tone and worn fringes. This bird has not moulted any wing-covert during late winter or early spring and still show second as well as third generation coverts. Second summer LBBG typically show a large amount of black on the gonys and a paler tip. Leg colour ranges from pink to bright yellow, a pale yellow coloration most often seen. Note the tone and pattern of the second generation primaries.
