LBBG EAS1 6cy, April 22 2002, Dintelhaven, Maasvlakte, the Netherlands (51.59N,04.02E).
An adult ringed, left green EAS1. This bird was ringed June 24 1997 and now in 6cy. The colour of the code has faded to yellow-white, although its a rather new ring. Exposure to the sun may cause the top coating pigmentation deteriorating the plastic used in the rings. Note the relatively small white primary tips.

EAS1 returned again to the exact same spot it
occupied last year. It has a red orbital ring, a clear yellow iris without
speckling, some black on the upper mandible and the red gonydeal spot is
confined to the lower mandible.
The large mirror on P10 almost merges with the white tip. The complete moult has
started as P1 has been dropped by June 02 2003.
