LBBG adult EV41 6cy, Dintelhaven, Maasvlakte, the Netherlands, March 30 2002. An adult bird ringed left leg green EV41. This bird was ringed as pullus at the nest, June 21 1997, near the current breeding spot. As it seems, later young adults are only allowed to occupy the nest at the borders of the colony, or otherwise have to fight their way in. The primaries show nice white tips without obvious abrasion. P10 has a relatively small white mirror. The coverts and scapulars look pretty neat with brown hue confined to only the first tertial, the inner greater and median coverts, a few of the inner lower lesser coverts and sparsely some lower scapulars. |
