Ringed July 03 1997. In this bird most of the primary tips (which haven't been very large after all) have been worn away. The tertials, inner wing-coverts and scapulars are worn as well. There are no moult gaps visible in either one of the feather tracts, but as can be seen in the top picture, the inner median covert and two groups in the central median coverts were moulted more recently than the brown hued other medians. The group of greater coverts show a similar moult strategy, with the inner greaters moulted last and those feathers are still plain grey, contrasting with the central and outer greaters.
