Ringed at the Maasvlakte as pullus, June 20 1998, now in 5cy. Birds in their fourth year may breed in the colonies, even birds in their third year may occasionally breed. Research in Herring Gulls revealed that adults may settle in a colony, up to their eighth year. This 5cy bird has a complete white tail and the mirror on P10 is relatively small, although it reaches both the inner and outer edge of P10. The red gonydeal spot continues on the upper mandible. The bill has a faint black line and a white tip. The small size may apply to a female.
