Ring-billed Gull delawarensis 1st cycle (2CY), May 06 2014, Chicago, IL. Picture: Amar Ayyash.

All primaries still present, complete moult not started. Therefore all grey wing-coverts best regarded as from "post-juvenile moult". This moult has been extensive in this individual, including almost all visible wing-coverts in the resting bird (except the carpal edge; and when the bird takes off, it appears outer coverts are still juvenile) and post-juvenile moult included the upper tertials.

Remarkable good condition of the flight feathers, still deep brown in colour.
