Ring-billed Gull delawarensis 2KM 2nd cycle (3CY), February 25 2014, Southbury, CT. Picture: Keith Mueller.

Probably banded as pullus in summere 2012 at Île Deslauriers, Varennes, QC. This marking program is conducted by the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) as part of a research project on movements and population dynamics of Ring-billed Gulls breeding in southern Quebec. For more details, you can visit our web site here ( gull.uqam.ca). If you find one banded bird, please report it here.

Note patterned coverts, dull bare part coloration, black in tail, lack of white tips on outer primaries, and pattern on greater primary coverts.

Today: 6 banded Gulls (1 HERG + 5 Ring-billed) in Southbury, CT on the banks of the Housatonic River, by Keith Mueller and Patrick Comins. 2 of the Ring-billed Gulls are probably from the Univ. or Quebec, Montreal (blue leg markers/...white letters), the other 3 had light blue (2) and red colored bands probably from Massachusetts. About 1,000 Gulls on the grounds of the farm and they kept moving around from one side of the farm to the other and then to the river.
