Looking back over the years, this bird M2 illustrated a rather whitish 1st cycle turning into a bird with charcoal pigmented outer primaries.

Obviously not fully adult, with dark markings in tail and much brown vermiculation on many wing-coverts. Also broad dark band on bill. Secondaries visible below the greater coverts: adult-like grey base with bold white tip. Limited pigmentation in outerwing.
