Age 2nd winter: showing dark bill, limited number of grey scapulars, rounded 2nd generation primaries and medium dark iris.

Scapulars show only a few adult-like grey feathers. Outer primaries very pale, almost white, with darker wedge at the centre. Bird placed at the pale end of the spectrum. Whole bird rather pale, including the washed-out buffish vermiculation of the coverts and tertials.
