Yellow-legged Gull michahellis 2CY 040H February 06 2011, Jakuševec landfill, Zagreb, Croatia. Picture: ringing team Luka Jurinovic.

Ringed michahellis from Croatia, codes may be used for winter trapping on landfill near Zagreb, hence no provenance on origin or exact age.

Bird with streaked head. Note large amount of replaced inner wing-coverts, which indicate michahellis & cachinnans, then note streaked head and breast, dark outerweb of inner primaries, patterned underwing, chocolate brown wash rather then greyish brown tone (greyish brown more typical for cachinnans) and bold markings on 2nd gen coverts and scapulars all indicating michahellis. Compare to 2CY cachinnans, from same location, same date: 039H.
