Yellow-legged Gull michahellis 2CY, July 28 2001, Boulogne-sur-Mer, NW France.

Probably the most advanced moult stage found in 2CY michahellis by the end of July. The scapulars and mantle are plain grey, as in adults. The greater coverts #4-5 are grey-based, like the inner and central median coverts. These coverts are 3rd or maybe already 4th generation coverts (then moulted in August, April and now in July).  Primary moult score: p7 is full-grown and p10 is still juvenile.
