Yellow-legged Gull michahellis sub-adult, October 03 2002, Le Portel, France (50.43N,01.37E).

Primary P8 fully grown, P9 at the length of P7 and P10 at the length of P5: PMS of 47. Note the rather pale yellow tip and pinkish base of the bill and the extensive black bill-band. The outer lesser coverts have extensive dark centres, indicative for sub-adults and 3CY michahellis. Note the very small tips on the outer primaries.
