Yellow-legged Gull michahellis adult, January 02 2011, Mamaia, Romania. Picture: Chris Gibbins.

Showing primary pattern in eastern michahellis, but close to western pattern. Short pale tongue on P10 (yet quite broad with angular ending) and full band on P10 and P5. Relatively broad dark band on bill may indicate younger adult (but centres of primary coverts plain grey as in full adult), which in turn may explain more black in primaries than true full adults.
