A very advanced looking, fuscus-like 2cy bird, that has replaced the tail and all secondaries. The wing coverts are unmarked and several blackish adult-like scapulars and coverts have appeared. The bill has already partly become yellow, as have the legs. However, the visible primaries are clearly brown (and pointed) and thus juvenile.

Quite incredibly, a very similar individual was present simultaneously. Compared to the bird in plates 1-2 (and at the right in plate 3), the primaries look more worn, half of the secondaries have been replaced and the bill is even more adult-like, already showing a red gonys spot.
