A pale bird that has replaced all feathers except for the outer primaries (plus a median primary covert) to second generation feathers. Because of the extensive moult, birds like this are tentatively identified as fuscus in Finland, as moult in Heuglin's Gull L heuglini normally is much less extensive. It is impossible to fully rule out heuglini though and therefore atypically pale birds such as this individual should not be considered.
