General remarks:

  • Eggs: Volume measured by Stonehouse (1964) and Spaans & Spaans (1975), which make comparison possible with data from Texel (Camphuysen pers comm 16.04.2020).
  • Nest n-F|6 positioned on dam 1: at T-split, eastside, between Spoonbills.
  • ID certain in 2023: male is 4CY n-F|6 and partner is adult female cachinnans. Caspian n-F|6 found dead on July 8th, 2023.
location June 18th, 2023: both parents with g-7|B. June 18th, 2023: n-F|6 with g-7|B. .

OBSERVATIONS:
04-04-2023 adult: n-F|6 on bread at multiple locations in colony.
05-04-2023 adult: n-F|6 on bread at multiple locations in colony.
09-04-2023 adult: n-F|6: bird landed here, after feeding on bread. Between dense trees.
11-05-2023 nest: nest found among spoonbills on T-junction dam 1 halfway up. Near water red arrow, and red dot near nest. 
1 small chick, not ringed. 2 eggs.
13-05-2023 adult: n[F|6] & partner present.
18-05-2023 pulli: 3 chicks ringed.
18-06-2023 adult: n-F|6 sub-ad + partner with 3x chicks on blocks westside T-split.
25-06-2023 pulli: 3x chicks + n-F|6  present, g-7|A caught and measured.
08-07-2023 adult: n-F|6  found dead, <7 days, at T-split dam 1, 30 mtrs from territory. (victim storm Poly?)
