Larus armenicus 1cy, 06 December 2010, Maagan Michael, Israel. Picture: Amir Ben Dov.
All scapulars replaced for 2nd gen feathers, including the longest rear feathers in the lowest row. Several wing-coverts replaced in the post-juvenile moult, but interestingly not the upper tertials and no greater coverts. The innermost median covert (mc1) has been replaced, and also mc5-7; llc1-5 and about 5 of the lc. Head feathers, neck and flanks replaced as well, now again with fine pencil streaks, well-demarcated.
