Bird in post-juvenile moult. Messy appearance makes exact moult stage hard to tell, but several greater (#2), median (1,2,5,7 and some central) & lower lesser coverts (1,2,3) replaced. Upper scapulars (us): 100% 2nd gen, lower scaps (ls): 25-50% 2nd gen. Visible mantle feathers also replaced. Note new body feathers on the side of the breast and flank; soon, the head feathers will be replaced as well.
